I don’t know who needs to hear this, but a woman can NOT provoke sexual assault.
With the festive season upon us, many beautiful woman are out and about wearing gorgeous little outfits that flaunt their figure. And so they should!
A very common myth is that a woman wearing revealing clothes or flirting with a man can “provoke” men to sexually assault them. This us unequivocally FALSE. It DOES NOT MATTER what a woman is wearing, or how she is behaving – if she doesn’t consent to sex, that is rape. Only the rapist is ever responsible for rape. So ladies, wear that short dress! You look fabulous! But arm yourself with self defense knowledge and skills. Because if a predator ever targets you, it has nothing to do with your dress and everything to do with opportunity and your vulnerability. Stay safe!
